Brownies have got to be one of my favorite treats to make. There are different ways you can approach the desert. You can make them as complicated and add extra decadence or you can make the nice and simply fudgy brownies.
This recipe is one of my favorite to whip out when I’m looking for something easy to make with the kids, my son actually made this batch with me for my birthday. This recipe is simple enough that he was able to do the majority of it himself.
Ingredients you will need to make these Fudgy Brownies
- Butter melted- plant based butter alternatives work also.
- Cocoa- any brand will work
- Flour
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla
- Chocolate chips – and any kind of filling you will love. I like to add nuts or even caramel pieces for added flavor.
How to make Fudgy Brownies
1. Pre-heat
preheat oven to 350℉ and prepare an 8×8 pan with cooking spray. If you have an older pan you can line the baking pan with parchment paper to be sure the brownies don’t stick. Do not use a convection setting on your oven if you have one.
2. Melt
melt butter and mix in cocoa powder and sugar.
3. Add eggs
add vanilla and eggs then fully combine
4. Add dry ingredients
add flour and mix until all ingredients are combined and you can no longer see any dry ingredients in the bowl.
5. add fix ins
fold in chocolate chips and nuts if you wish to add some. This is the part where you can have some fun and dress the brownies up. They are definitely delicious on their own but you can add anything from different kind of nuts, candies and caramels. Even different kind of chocolate would be nice.
6. Bake
spread evenly in the bottom of the pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until the center is no longer shiny and the edges are a bit crispy.
the only thing to decide now is if you want a corner, and edge or a middle piece of these fudgy brownies.
