This banana bread recipe is not only easy to make, but it is delicious and fills your home with the most amazing smells.
Bananas in my home are either eaten so fast they never get a chance to get over ripe or no one is interested in them at all and we have tons of bananas that need to be repurposed.
I have tried many different recipes to use ripe bananas, and although they are all very delicious there is just something to be said about a good and simple loaf of banana bread.
Ingredients you will need
- Ripe Bananas – Over ripe bananas, filled with flavor and easy to mash.
- Melted butter– add a rich flavor to the loaf.
- Egg– binds all the ingredients together
- Milk– helps to create a light a fluffy bread.
- Sugar – creates sweetness
- Vanilla – full flavor for the loaf
- Baking soda – helps to add air to the recipe when baking resulting in a lighter fluffier loaf.
- Salt– brings out the flavor of all the other ingredients.
- Flour– creates fullness to the bread.
How to make Easy and Delicious Banana Bread
- Preheat the oven to 350°f. and prepare a loaf pan with cooking spray.
- Peel and mash the bananas in a large bowl.
- Stir in the melted butter, egg, milk, and vanilla.
- Add flour, baking soda, and salt. do not over mix only fold until fully combined.
- Bake for 1 hour in the oven or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cooling completely before removing from pan and serving.
*Tip if you have just 1 banana that is over ripe or you are not able to make anything with your bananas before they will go bad you can freeze your ripe bananas until you are ready.
Peel bananas and place them in a sealed container or bag before putting them in the freezer. peeling frozen bananas can be done but id rather do it before.
