We all know the benefits of having fish in your rotation of weekly meals. Knowing how to make it taste good could seam a bit easier said than done. this recipe for Honey Garlic Baked Salmon is so easy and delicious it will become a family favorite right away.
I love fish but I’m not going to lie and say that it has been my favorite thing to cook in the past. it makes your kitchen smell for the rest of the day and if you try to do something special with it you are sure to have it crumble (literally) right Infront of your face.
My favorite part about this recipe is that you will most likely already have these things in your kitchen. if you don’t there are usually some good substitutes that will also work out so well.
Ingredients you will need
- 1 Salmon Fillet
- ½ cup butter
- 3 tbsp minced garlic
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp chives
- ½ tbsp parsley
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 large lemons
How to make Honey Garlic Baked Salmon
- Preheat the oven to 375°f, place a long piece of foil on a baking sheet, and spray with cooking oil.
- slice a lemon into ½ inch disks and place on tin foil where the salmon will rest.
- place salmon fillet on top of lemon slices and season with salt and pepper.
- in a microwave-safe bowl add butter and garlic. heat in microwave until fully melted.
- to the melted butter add honey, parsley, and chives. mix fully then pour over the salmon fillet.
- fold foil into a pocket loosely over the salmon. Be sure to seal all the edges to create a pocket. if the original foil is not large enough you and add a second sheet to make the pocket.
- bake in the oven for 25 min, remove from the oven and open the pocket. be careful of the steam so u don’t burn yourself. open the pocket wide enough to expose the fish but keep walls up around the fish so you do not lose any of the buttery goodness.
- turn the oven on to broil at a high temperature, and place the salmon back in the oven under the broiler for 5-10 min until the salmon starts to have a golden brown color.
- remove and serve.
