Recently I made some butter and was left with a jar of buttermilk looking for recipes to fulfil that need. I made these delicious buttermilk waffles and will for sure be making butter again just so I can have these waffles all over again.
they are soft and fluffy with just the right amount of crispiness. to make the perfect waffle ready for breakfast, lunch, dinner and even dessert.

Ingredients you will need to make buttermilk waffles
- Butter melted
- Buttermilk
- eggs
- vanilla
- sugar
- cinnamon
- flour
- baking soda
- baking powder
- salt
How to make buttermilk waffles
1. Melt butter
in a medium bowl melt butter in microwave and allow to cool slightly
2. Add wet ingredients
add buttermilk, sugar, eggs, cinnamon and vanilla to the bowl and whisk until fully combined. the butter will solidify slightly and that’s ok.
3. Add your dry ingredients
add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt
continue to whisk until there are no clumps and everything is well combined.
4. Cook
set the bowl aside and plug in your waffle iron. (follow instructions for your machine cooking waffles)
cook longer for a crispier waffle
5. Store them
store it in an airtight container. If you have some left over and made too many you can pop them in the toaster to warm them up the next morning for a quick and easy breakfast.

- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 2 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
