Chicken Parmesan

When making a recipe like this make sure you add the seasonings and flavor to every la2yer that way you will have a dish at the end that tastes amazing all the way through. This recipe is similar to the bruschetta pork chops I made last week.

Ingredients you will need

  • Chicken breasts – you could use chicken thighs if that is what you have on hand, the end result will be a bit different but still delicious.
  • Panko bread crumbs – using these instead of classic bread crumbs will ensure you have a crispy texture at the end of the baking process.
  • Flour – added to help the egg stick to the chicken
  • Eggs – added to help the panko mixture stick to the chicken
  • Parmesan cheese – added for flavor and texture
  • Mozzarella cheese – this is the best cheese for melting in this case, use any cheese you like if mozzarella is not your thing.
  • Pasta sauce- use any pasta sauce you like, home made or store bought.
  • Spaghetti pasta – I like classic pasta but use what you like or have on hand.
  • Parsley flakes – has a slight peppery taste with an earthy background
  • Smoked paprika – a smokey woodsy, slightly spicy flavor
  • Garlic powder – use dried for less of a acidic flavor
  • Black ground pepper – use fresh ground or pre ground pepper
  • Kosher salt – used to bring out the flavors of everything in this recipe
  • Italian seasoning – a combination of oregano, basil, thyme and rosemary
  • Cooking oil – I use olive oil but a vegetable or canola oil will work as well.
