These Christmas sprinkle cookies are the perfect cookie to make with your kids this holiday season. Bonus points because they are really delicious also

Super soft cookie with a chewy texture inside, Adding the sprinkles give them a great little crunch. Everybody loves these cookies so much.

Ingredients you will need

  • Butter
  • Sugar
  • Powdered sugar
  • Egg
  • Vanilla
  • Flour
  • Baking soda
  • Sprinkles
  • Salt

How to Make Christmas Sprinkle Cookies

1. Pre Heat Oven

preheat oven to 350°f

2. Cream Butter

in the stand mixer with a paddle attachment cream together the butter sugar and powdered sugar. Be very careful when turning on your stand mixer after adding powdered sugar. start slow or everything will fly all over your kitchen. This may have happened to me today.

add egg and vanilla then combine well. combine until you no longer see any of the egg any more.

3. Add Dry Ingredients

Add flour, baking soda and salt then mix until you no longer see any dry ingredients, you can mix your dry ingredients in a second bowl, whisk them together then add them to the rest of the ingredients. you can also just add them to the top of your wet ingredients.

4. Add Sprinkles

add sprinkles and combine, do not over mix and break all your sprinkles. Use any kind you like, I personally like the stick sprinkles so that is what I used, you can also add any extras. I added snowflakes for an added cuteness. This step can make these cookies great for any holiday.

5. Scoop

using 1.5 tbsp cookie scoop (or spoons) scoop cookies onto a lined cookie sheet 2 inches apart. allow for a lot of spreading. On my large cookie sheet I can fit 12 cookies.

6. Roll

roll cookies in your hand to make them round, add a few extra sprinkles to the top. add any kind of sprinkles to the top you like.

7. Bake

bake for 10-12 minutes until the cookies are fully cooked and only slightly browned on the edges. The cookies will be higher in the middle when you take them out of the oven but will settle flat as they cool.

8. Cool

allow cooling for a few minutes on the cookie sheet before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool them completely

  • allow cooling for a few minutes on the cookie sheet before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool them completely
