Grandma always had sweets ready at her house and these peanut butter cookies were by far my favorite.
when I got my first apartment I moved to a new city and out of my parent’s house all in one. my grandma made me many care packages every time I went to visit and she always had these cookies made for me.
when she passed a few years ago I found the cookbook she wrote all her recipes and when I found one for peanut butter cookies I cried with pure joy. I made them almost immediately and they taste the same.
peanut butter cookies sometimes can be too sweet. these defiantly are not. with the addition of the rolled oats they also have a soft chew to them that just makes you want to have more and more.
these cookies also freeze so well, that you can divide them into freezer bags and freeze them for later. they are a great gift to give that will surely add a special memory for your guests.
