Ingredients you will need

  • Butter softened – you can use margarine or lard. any butter alternative will be just fine. the taste will change depending on what you use.
  • Brown sugar – add a soft chewy texture to your cookie
  • Granulated sugar – adds the sweet to you cookie
  • Eggs – binds all the ingredients together
  • Vanilla – could also use almond of coconut flavoring for a different taste. Vanilla will give you that warm cooking flavor from your childhood.
  • All purpose flour – pastry flour will also work, I have not made these cookies with any gluten free flour alternatives. If you do could you please let me know how it works out.
  • Baking soda – helps the cookie to rise
  • Kosher salt – salt brings out the flavor of all the other ingredients.
  • Chocolate chips – use semi sweet, milk, dark or any chips you like, you can always use them all if that’s what you want.
  • Colored sprinkles – the stick sprinkles are what I used, If you find those cute Halloween themed sprinkles out now use those for some added Halloween flair.
