This pork and wax bean stir fry must be next on your list of recipes to try. It is so easy to put together, filling your plate with simple grains, protein and lots of vegetables. The best part is aside from the dish used to cook your rice or noodles. this is a one pot meal that can be completed and served in less than 40 minutes.

This dish is made with simple ingredients and can be customized and adjusted easily based on the ingredients you have on hand or prefer.

Ingredients you will need to make this pork and wax bean stir fry.

  • Pork tenderloin roast
  • Corn starch
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Bell pepper
  • Cooking onion
  • Long green or yellow beans
  • Bean sprouts optional

Sauce

  • Soy sauce
  • Oyster sauce optional
  • Sugar
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Corn starch

How to make pork and wax bean stir fry

1. Prepare your meat

using a sharp knife carefully cut the pork into long about ½-inch thick slices then add them to a bowl.

season with salt and pepper then add the corn starch, mix well so that all the pork is coated with the cornstarch and seasoning. set aside to rest while you prepare the vegetables.

2.Prepare the vegetables

peel and cut the onion into long thin slices, core and slice the pepper the same way, wash and cut the tips off of the beans. set aside.

3. Start to cook the pork

add olive oil to a large and deep frying pan. you can use a wok if you have one but I do not have one of those yet. Right now I have a large deep frying pan that I use and it works out well.

heat pan to medium then add the pork and spread evenly on the bottom of the pan. allow to cook on all sides and become golden. remove cooked pork from the pan and set aside in a bowl.

4. Remove meat and add vegetables

to the same pan add the vegetables and let them steam and cook. even have them brown a bit for added flavour.

5. Mix up your sauce

in a mason jar add all ingredients from the sauce and shake well. After I added the sugar I realized that I would have preferred to use brown sugar so if you have the chance try that instead.

5. Put it all together.

continue to cook the vegetables until they have softened, The onions should be clear and the pepper should have some browning on them

add the pork back into the pan and if you are choosing to use bean sprouts add them now.

pour in the sauce and lower the heat to a slow simmer, stirring well to ensure everything is well coated with sauce.

simmer for 5-10 min until the sauce is thick and adhering to the meat and vegetables in the pan.

6. Cook your rice

cook rice, rice noodles or any base of your choice according to your preference or directions on the package.

7. Plate and enjoy!

add rice to your plate and spread evenly to make a nice fluffy bed for your stir fry.

top with meat and vegetables and an extra scoop of that delicious sauce if you like.

sprinkle with sesame seeds and chives if you wish.

  • 15-20 long green or yellow beans
  • 1 can bean sprouts optional

Sauce

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce optional
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger fresh minced or dry
  • 1 tsp corn starch
