preheat oven to 375°f
after allowing the butter to soften and come to room temperature add it to a large mixing bowl.

add brown sugar and granulated sugar, cream using a hand beater or stand mixer if you have it. beat until everything is combined.

add 2 eggs and vanilla, and stir until fully combined.

add in flour baking soda and salt. beat until fully combined and no flour is visible.
2⅔ cup all-purpose flour, 1 tsp baking soda, ½ tsp kosher salt
add in chocolate chip and fold them in.
2 cup chocolate chips
on a lined baking sheet using a cookie scoop spoon out cookies leaving about 2 inches of space between each of them for spreading.
bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden brown and middle is no longer shiny.
allow cookies to settle on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
