Chocolate Pudding Cake

a delicious warm treat with a rich and delicious chocolate flavour perfect to pair with cold ice-cream or whipped cream.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup milk
  • cup flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt

topping

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • cup boiling hot water

Instructions
 

  • pre heat oven to 350°f
  • prepare an 8x8 baking dish with spray oil and set aside
  • melt margarine and chocolate chips in microwave or double boiler just long enough to melt and stir
  • add milk and whisk together, it will be chunky but that is ok
  • add flour, baking powder, and salt. stir until fully combined
  • pour the batter and spread evenly into the baking dish then set aside.
  • mix together sugar brown sugar and cocoa powder in a separate bowl
  • sprinkle on top of the batter in the pan evenly but do not mix.
  • pork boiling water on top and again do not mix
  • bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until the edges look cooked but not burned
  • serve and eat warm, top with ice cream or whipped cream if you wish to add some extra pizzaz
