Homemade Meatballs

Spaghetti just gets batter when its toped with some delicious meatballs.

Equipment

  • 1 baking scoop 1.5 tablespoon size
  • 1 frying pan
  • 1 medium sized bowl

Ingredients
  

  • lb ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley flakes
  • 2 tbsp dried chives
  • ½ tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Spaghetti

  • 1 onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 6 mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • spaghetti noodles

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl add ground beef, eggs, and seasonings.
    1½ lb ground beef, 2 eggs, 1½ tbsp onion powder, 1 tbsp smoked paprika, 1 tbsp dried parsley flakes, 2 tbsp dried chives, ½ tbsp Italian seasoning, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp salt
  • using a clean hand mix together the meat squishing it together and folding it in on itself until the seasoning and eggs are mixed well into the ground beef.
  • use a spoon or a baking scoop to spoon 1.5 tbsp of the mixture into your hand. roll into a ball and set on a plate. repeat this step until you have all the balls made and on a plate.
  • cover plate with plastic wrap then place in the fridge to set for up to 1 hour.
  • in a large flat bottom frying pan over medium heat warm olive oil.
    2 tbsp olive oil
  • carefully add the meatballs to the frying pan, you should hear a slight sizzle when the meat hits the pan.
  • cover with a lid and let the meatballs cook for about 10 minutes until they are almost but not fully cooked.

Making Spaghetti Sauce

  • Pell and dice the onion
    1 onion
  • core out and dice the pepper
    1 bell pepper
  • slice mushrooms into bite-size pieces.
    6 mushrooms
  • Add onions, pepper, and mushrooms to the pan with the meatballs, and cook the vegetables down until they start to soften.
  • add garlic and spaghetti sauce. turn the heat down all the way to low and allow to simmer.
    1 tbsp minced garlic, 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • cook pasta per instructions on the package.

  • drain and plate noodles with sauce on top and a few meatballs, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and enjoy.

Notes

Calories are calculated without pasta or sauce since that will vary based on what kind you use
