pre-heat oven to 370°f
after allowing the butter to soften and come to room temperature add it to a large mixing bowl.

add brown sugar and granulated sugar, and cream using a hand beater or stand mixer if you have it. beat until everything is combined.

add 2 eggs and vanilla, and stir until fully combined.

add in flour baking soda and salt. beat until fully combined and no flour is visible.
2⅔ cup all purpose flour, 1 tsp baking soda, ½ tsp kosher salt
add in chocolate chips and fold them in.

scoop 1.5 tbsp of cookie dough using a cookie scoop or spoon into your hand. roll into a ball then in a bowl of colored sprinkles. roll around in the sprinkles until fully coated then place the cookies on a baking sheet leaving about 2 inches between to allow for spreading.

bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the middle is no longer shiny.
allow cookies to settle on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
