Pizza Crust

The best way to make delicious home meade pizza at home

Equipment

  • 1 measuring cups
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 cookie sheet
  • 1 parchment paper

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp pizza active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp italian seasoning
  • 3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions
 

  • pre-heat oven to 450°f
  • In large bowl add yeast, sugar, Italian seasoning mix and warm water.
  • allow to proof for 5-10 min until it starts to become a bit foamy
  • add flour and salt and mix slightly
  • add olive oil and continue mixing until fully combined and starts to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
  • turn dough out of bowl onto a clean dry surface, and kneed until dough become smooth. do not over kneed.
  • coat the bowl in small amount of oil (I like to use spray coconut oil)
  • place dough back into the bowl and cover with plastic wrap. place in a warm spot to rise for 30 min.
  • once the dough has risen divide dough into desired number of pizzas.
  • flatten out dough on countertop into whatever shape you want and place on prepared cooking sheet.
  • add sauce, toppings and cheese.
  • Bake in oven for 8-12 min or until crust is cooked through.
  • remove from oven and slice. enjoy!

Notes

I have made this recipe with a stand mixer and by hand. both work well
during the winter when my home is dry I add 1 more tablespoon of water to the dough. if your finding your dough to be too dry add water slowly till it comes together. 
dough should be smooth and not sticky. 
with this recipe I make 1 small pizza for my kids and 1 large for my husband and I. 
this recipe doubles easily.
