frozen mixed vegetables

tuna

fusilli pasta noodles
can also use egg noodles
Topping
½
cup
crushed corn flakes
½
cup
crushed fish crackers

melted butter

tsp
salt

tsp
pepper

tsp
dried parsley flakes

tsp
dried chives
Instructions
boil salted water then cook fusilli pasta till al dente, drain then rinse with cold water and set aside.
to a medium-sized pot over medium heat add butter and allow to melt
add flour and stir with a whisk constantly, cook flour and butter mixture until it begins to brown slightly
add milk and stir continuously so it does not burn until you can see the mixture begin to thicken.
add seasonings, tuna, mixed vegetables and pasta
fold all ingredients together then pour into a greased 12x9 inch baking dish
set aside and prepare the topping.
pre heat oven to 350℉
Melt butter and mix everything listed under "topping ingredients"
sprinkle over top of the casserole
bake in pre heated oven for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
allow to cool a bit before serving.
Notes
for added flavor, you can top the casserole with grated cheese before you add the topping.
