Ingredients
  

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 4 cups turkey stock
  • 1 tsp salt more to taste
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp thyme leaves
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp browning sauce

Instructions
 

  • have all your ingredients and measuring spoons close by, making gravy requires constant attention or it will clump or burn to the bottom of the pan.
  • whisk ⅛ cup of flour with cooled turkey stock and set aside.
    4 cups turkey stock, ¼ cup flour
  • in a medium saucepan melt butter and sprinkle flour over the melted butter begin to stir and from this point on you should have a constant stir in the pan with only slight stops to grab ingredients.
    4 tbsp butter, ¼ cup flour
  • stirring constantly add stock and flour mixture, and continue stirring until all ingredients are combined.
  • add remaining seasoning and browning sauce. stir until sauce thickens.
    1 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp thyme leaves, 1 tsp poultry seasoning, 1 tsp browning sauce
  • if your gravy is too thick you can add some chicken broth, turkey broth, or water to this it out. remove from heat when you reach your desired consistency.
    4 cups turkey stock
  • serve hot.
